Fast eating

Cutlery

After research on cutlery my conclusion was that basically all cutlery is the same. Designers have already designed cutlery to be more hygienic or to encourage slower eating since it’s a significant problem in our society, with people eating too quickly.
However, this led me to think, what if I created cutlery for even faster eating? Therefore, I began
designing, exploring the concept of a ‘fast shape, aerodynamics, and then created a prototype.

Danger

Scarf

Danger is a scarf, and the concept behind it is that I was given an assignment: ‘make a scarf. I knew immediately that I didn’t want to create a typical scarf. I then defined what a scarf is, and my conclusion was that a scarf is comfy, soft, and warm. I then decided to make the total opposite of that – a dangerous scarf. This resulted in a ‘metallic’ scarf with vibrant colors to maintain the welcoming effect of a scarf.

Miette

Plate

It’s a plate designed specifically for viennoiserie. It’s made in a way to easily grab the croissant, for instance, while elevating it, making it a centerpiece, and at the same time, collecting the crumbs in a different section, allowing you to separate the leftover crumbs and leave a clean viennoiserie.

The GroundSense Sneaker

Footwear

Bridging the Gap between Urban Comfort and Barefoot Connection

It focuses on the sensation of the foot in contact with the ground. To promote environmental awareness, the shoe utilizes fair trade fabric from a factory in Bangladesh.

The research behind the shoe is bassed on studying the barefoot experience to enhance our understanding of the connection between our feet and the ground.
The design aims to create the perception of having the ground inside the shoe itself.

Consideration was given to the concept of «dirtiness» during the shoe’s development. Many individuals are hesitant to walk barefoot not because of dirtiness, but due to the potential discomfort and hazards in urban areas.

Therefore, the shoe allows wearers to feel the ground realistically while keeping their feet protected, offering a complete experience of walking barefoot in nature even within a city setting.

Three types of natural ground simulations have been developed to enhance the experience of wearing the shoe.

The Alps

Bed

The Alp bed is designed with the objective of separating two partners while maintaining a single unified bed.

Inspired by the landscape of the Alp mountains, this unique bed incorporates the essence of white mountains and offers adjustable features to accommodate the comfort and preferences of each partner. Mirroring the elevated heights of the Alp mountains, the Alp bed stands tall, providing a distinctive and immersive sleeping experience.

Instrument Optique

Eyewear, Necklace

The concept was inspired by binoculars. The necklace consists of two separate pieces, both made entirely out of bent wood and inked wood. They feature different gradients of colors that gradually fade to expose the wood. This creates a necklace with intricate details in contrast to its size and minimalist shape.

For the eyewear, I use different types of lenses found in binoculars, such as magnification and de-magnification. In addition, I incorporate colored lenses that create a distortion of the world when they are worn, similar to what binoculars do.

Cactus

Object

Cactus is a man-made plant. It’s a decorative object with the purpose of providing satisfaction in both visual and technical aspects. From the outside, it looks like a spiky tree trunk, but once you get close, you realize that the ends of the spikes are actually round. You can push them inside, and they return to their normal position by themselves, thanks to a hidden spring mechanism, which creates satisfaction when you push it and also because it makes a noise.

Baluchon

Bag

The Baluchon is my first bag ever made, inspired by a water drop and from a time before bags were invented, when people simply tied fabric to the end of a stick and slung it over their shoulders.

The upper part is made of elastic fabric, and the bottom is made of classic fabric with an interior lining. The design allows the bag to expand or resemble a « drop » when placed on the ground.

Trunk

Lamp

This solid wooden lamp is crafted from a single tree trunk, which I then sanded, polished, and oiled. It creates the effect of bringing nature inside the house, with nature represented as a warm, clean
lamp. This association portrays nature as warm, inviting, and clean.

Society loop

Video

Made with different type of effect to amplify the loop acceleration, such as making it go faster, louder, and darker. This video is a representation of our society. Our life has become loops with we are into it, where there is no end and only death can make it stop. It makes us question if there is something else that we do expect, working, and working again, it is also a respond to the government pushing every tear the retirement age, with make us work even more. when is it going to stop? is it even ever going to stop?

Slice of Wood

Lamp

Made out a piece of tree trunk. Hold with metal rod. The wood isn’t snd a lot on purpose to create a rustic effect and to keep the aspect of a actual three truck.

Seeing it from the top creates an optical illusion of floating slabs of wood on top of each other. This happens because the light overcomes the metal hidden structure inside.

Wooden Lounger

Hamac

I wanted to create a hammock that wasn’t made out of fabric in the traditional sense. Instead, I crafted it from individual wooden slats connected with boat rope to ensure its sturdiness. This design allows a solid material to appear « liquid » and soft.
