This project comes from my strong connection to nature, which I feel is often ignored today. We tend to replace natural things with man-made structures, which distances us from the environment. My aim is to change how people see nature by gently bringing it into our homes through objects that repre- sent natural elements. In my piece, Prithvi, I focus on flowers, a part of nature we often overlook. The lamp I designed has metal
stems growing from a pot of flowers, showing the idea of growth. There’s a dilemma: if you don’t care for the flowers, it will die, and while the lamp will stay clean and rust free, it loses its deeper meaning. This piece invites nature back into our daily lives in a
simple but meaningful way.
